It’s another big week of contemporary blues releases and announcements for new upcoming albums!!

Recordings Out Now

Danielle Nicole – The Love You Bleed

This is the 10th album for Danielle Nicole. She is one of the established stars of the contemporary blues as both a vocalist and one of the genre’s greatest bass players.

GeminiiDragon – 3

She’s hot and sassy, high energy, and one badass blues rocker! Christian Simeon hails from down the bayou in Thibodaux Louisiana where both my girls were born. She has all the makings for a star of the roadhouse blues!

Strange Majik – NYC Animal

David Pattillo hails from New York City and his music is creative and edgy with lyrics that reflect life in the gritty city that never sleeps. From roaring blues rock to some serious soul and funk, the recording is well worth your time!

Jesse Dayton – Night Brain (EP)

Jesse Dayton is making serious inroads into the blues. And his recording last year with Samantha Fisk, Death Wish Blues, only helped spread the word about this very talented artist traditionally associated with outlaw country!

Emanuel Casablanca Strung Out on Thrills

Another artist from New York City, Emanuel Casablanca’s second recording features a nice blend of blues and blues rock from one of the emerging new generation of roadhouse blues artists. Joanna Connor lends her guitar talent to a couple of the tunes…never a bad thing!!

The Cinelli BrothersAlmost Exactly

This UK based band was created from a passion for the electric Chicago and Texas blues. The new recording expands their interest to some nice R&B style recordings as well.

Johnny Mastro & Mama’s Boys – Elmore James For President (US release)

Released in Europe in 2020 during the pandemic, the recording gets a fresh lease on life with a US release. It’s a shining example of some great contemporary blues done New Orleans style. Johnny Mastro is on my bucket list…hope to get to see him soon on a trip back home.

Dr. FeelgoodLive In Caen

They have been cranking out rockin’ blues and R&B since the 1970’s and I have talked to several people that say they are awesome in concert. Now you get to be the judge!
