Superdownhome – Booze Is My Self-Control Device – Blues Case Scenario (2020 Remaster) – Dixiefrog Records (2021)

This Italian group records on the same French blues label as Popa Chubby….Dixiefrog Records. Their first release for their new record label is a remastered version of an album they released previously in 2020. It is some badass roadhouse crankin’ blues.

Be Sharp Band – Wolf – Ashes (Self Release 2020)

Easily one of my favorite blues rock artists of 2020, the Be Sharp Band hails from my ancestral home of Croatia. They feature a female lead singer by the name of Marija Gašparić that growls, struts, and belts out some mighty fine blues rock.

Son of Dave – What a Life (Self Release Single 2021)

Benjamin Darvill, better known as the Son of Dave, is a one man band featuring the harmonica and a beat box. He is from Canada and now based in London. He was also a member of the Crash Test Dummies back in the eighties and early nineties. His music is an eclectic mix of songs that generally fall under the blues genre. I love his talent and particularly his song writing on this “slice of life” tune.
